We sell our whole & half pigs for $5.50/lb. based on hanging weight. Because all pigs final hanging weight can vary, it is difficult to project the final total before having the official weight. We generally expect our pigs to weigh in between 150 pounds - 250 pounds with the occasional pig falling below or above that range.
For reference, a 150lb. hanging weight would cost $825 (150 x $5.50) & 250lb. hanging weight would cost $1375 (250 x $5.50).
We understand that life happens, and situations may arise that cause you to cancel your order. You may cancel your whole/half pig reservation at anytime prior to the scheduled processing date, however the deposit made is non-refundable and will be forfeited.
We do ask that you contact us as soon as you know that you will be canceling your reservation to allow others waiting for reservations the opportunity.
Buying pork from our farm is just as safe as buying from your grocery store. At Split Creek Acres all of our pigs are raised naturally on quality feeds and fruit/veggie treats. They are processed at a USDA certified processer, where the final cuts are vacuum sealed and frozen. All packaged pork sold by the pound is then transported directly to and maintained in our freezers here at the farm. All of our freezers have automatic generator back-up power in case of power outages and are monitored daily for proper operation and safe temperature. Split Creek Acres is registered, inspected & licensed to sell our pork in the state of New Hampshire.
We currently accept Cash, Venmo & Contactless Payment. Checks are accepted on whole & half reservations only.
At this time, we do not offer shipping or delivery.
For whole/half pigs, our pickup appointments are made with our processor and all orders must be picked up that day. There is not an option of rescheduling once our pigs are dropped off. If for some reason, something happens that you cannot be present for your appointment, Split Creek Acres can transport your order back to our farm and store it in our freezer. This option is for emergency situations only and should be considered a last resort. We will store your order for up to 7 days only with a storage fee of $25.00 per day. After 7 days from your pickup date, the order will be considered abandoned and canceled with the deposit forfeited.
